Our servicing covers the key mechanical and safety components of your float, including brakes, bearings, suspension, wheels and tyres, lights and electrical components. We also inspect the overall condition of the float and identify any areas that may require attention.

Yes. Where possible, we can carry out repairs and maintenance identified during your service. If additional work is required, we’ll discuss this with you before proceeding.

A float that has been sitting for an extended period should be inspected before being put back on the road. Tyres, bearings, brakes, electrical components and other parts can deteriorate even when a float isn't being used.

Regularly check your tyre pressures, lights, brakes, wheel nuts and general condition of the float. Keep the interior clean and dry, and address any unusual noises, movement or damage as soon as possible rather than waiting until your next service.

Caring For Your Paint & Decals

Your float's paintwork can take up to three months to fully cure, so we recommend gentle washing with low-pressure water and, if needed, a quality low-pH car wash during this period. Avoid high-pressure cleaners, abrasive products, and harsh chemicals, as they can damage both the paintwork and decals before they have fully settled and bonded. Where possible, store your float under cover and avoid parking beneath trees, as sap, bird droppings, and falling debris can quickly affect the finish. We also recommend avoiding float covers, as constant friction can wear away the protective coating over time.
Regularly wash the interior, particularly after your horse has urinated, as the acidic nature of urine can damage paint and metal surfaces if left untreated. With simple, ongoing care and maintenance, your float will continue to look its best and retain its value for years to come.
